Cambria Hebert Author Spotlight, Chasing Perfect is Live, and More!

Chasing Perfect is LIVE today!CHASING PERFECT is LIVE! *woohoo* This is book four in our Someday Series, it’s a standalone with no cliffhanger! Can’t wait for you to read Sandy & Hunter’s story! XO Shawna & Melanie

They’d been best friends since elementary school, knew each other’s secrets, and supported each other in times of need…Sandy Cooper and Hunter Blakely were there for each other no matter what…until one epic graduation night changed everything…

For Sandy, her sexy best friend knew too much of the life she wanted to get away from. She wanted to start fresh but also keep the one constant in her life; his unwavering friendship and support. And she was willing to push her growing feelings for him down in order to protect their special friendship.

Hunter always knew that the gorgeous blonde was all he wanted, and even though her rejection hurt, he was willing to do whatever it took to prove to her that they belonged together in every way.

When it comes to Chasing Perfect, sometimes you don’t have to travel very far

The subject of this month’s author spotlight is the incredibly talented (and unbelievably fun and nice) Cambria Hebert! 😄 Shawna and I were honored to be her “table neighbor” at a recent signing (Authors in the OC) and we fell in love with her, her books, her adorable photobombing cover model (holla, Nathan Weller!) and her sweet and earnest fanbase. We want to be her when we grow up! 😄

About Cambria:

Cambria Hebert is an award winning, bestselling novelist of more than twenty books. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.

Besides writing, Cambria loves a caramel latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching movies. She considers math human torture and has an irrational fear of chickens (yes, chickens). You can often find her running on the treadmill (she’d rather be eating a donut), painting her toenails (because she bites her fingernails), or walking her chorkie (the real boss of the house).

Cambria has written within the young adult and new adult genres, penning many paranormal and contemporary titles. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense. A few of her most recognized titles are: The Hashtag Series, Text, Torch, and Tattoo.

Cambria Hebert owns and operates Cambria Hebert Books, LLC.

What is your writing process? Do you write from beginning to end or do you skip around?

I try to write from the beginning and go in order, but I don’t usually do that. Haha. I usually skip around and write the scenes I see most clearly in my head first. Then, I go back through to fill in the missing parts. It’s not the easiest way to do it, but that’s what I end up doing most.

Do you have any strange writing habits (like standing on your head or writing in the shower)?
I don’t really know if it’s strange but I wear a hoodie with the hood up. Lol. It makes me look like a baddie baddie. (Okay, it doesn’t but I like to pretend it does.)

What are you working on now? What is your next project?
I’m working on my spin off from the Hashtag series. It’s called GearShark – #Junkie. It’s an M/M romance featuring two characters that were seen in the Hashtag series – Trent and Drew. It’s the first time I’ve written an M/M.

Do you write in sweats, PJs, naked, or regular ol’ real people life clothes?
I live in sweats or yoga pants and hoodies. Lol. That’s what I write in. When I leave the house I make myself put on real clothes. Haha.

What is your favorite part of the writing/publishing process?
Getting a paperback in the mail of a new book for the first time. It makes it so much more real and tangible to be able to hold a book I’ve written in my hand. I love that part.

Do your characters ever surprise you?
All the time! I love when they do, it makes it fun, like I’m reading a book instead of writing one.

If you weren’t an author, what would you do for a living?
I’d probably be a hairstylist.😄

What adorns the top of your Christmas tree? Angel? Star? Men’s underwear?
I like to put snowflakes and other fun things at the top, so it looks a little less traditional.😄

#Holiday comes out on December 3, and is available for Pre-Order!

Givers gonna give…
Twas the night of game day,
And all through the town,
Lacey glittering snowflakes fluttered around.
They clung to the roads, concealing everything with white.
It was a beautiful #holiday sight.
The paparazzi were out without any care,
In hopes to catch Romeo and Rimmel, rumored to be there.
When out on the road there arose such a clatter.
The Hellcat spun out, but it shouldn’t matter.
I pulled out my cell to dial in a flash.
But the battery was dead. What useless trash.
The moonlight glistening on the new fallen snow
Made us forget we needed a tow.
For the season was upon us. Our family was alight.
Our #holiday was destined to be merry and bright.

Bonus content features FIVE #holiday recipes to make and share!
